Health Screening

Regular health screening is essential for the early detection of illnesses and conditions. The stress of modern living, medical history, or poor lifestyle can have adverse implications on your health resulting in many silent killers such as heart disease, diabetes, hypertension, and even cancers.

Health screening plays a vital role in detection and can address potential risks. Knowing that you are in good health allows you to lead a fruitful life and to pursue your aspirations.

Pregnancy Screening

Prenatal care is important during pregnancy to monitor the health of the mother and the baby.

HIV/STD Screening

Getting tested for STDs is one of the most important things a sexually active individual can do to protect their health.

Wellness Screening

An important step that can help one become more aware of and knowledgeable about key health indicators, such as blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose, etc.

Enhanced Screening

Knowing your numbers and what you can do to keep them in the healthy range can help you lead an active lifestyle.

Vaccination

The administration of a vaccine helps the immune system develop protection from a disease.

Pregnancy Screening

Whether it’s your first pregnancy, second, or maybe even third, fourth or even more, you will always be filled with anticipation! There is nothing more joyful than bringing a new life into this world. Every pregnancy experience is different, and we want you to know that we are here for you.

Our prenatal screening packages include screening tests that can identify if your baby is subjected to certain congenital disabilities. Prenatal screening tests are usually done during the first or second trimester. The screening enables our doctors to keep track of your pregnancy and ensure that both you and your baby are healthy and doing well.

HIV/STD Screening

Do you know that new HIV cases are increasing steadily over the years from about 9,000 cases in 2016 to about 11,000 cases in 2017? That’s approximately a surge of 2,000 cases yearly! Whilst it may seem awkward and uncomfortable to talk about STD (Sexually Transmitted Disease) especially with the stigma often associated with it, it is of paramount importance to talk to your doctor about it as STD such as Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Genital Herpes, HIV/AIDS, etc. can have dire consequences if left untreated.

The terrifying part about STD is that they do not carry any symptoms, and testing is the only viable way to know if you are infected with STD. STD usually occurs when you have sexual contact with multiple partners or with people of risky sexual behavior such as those of sex workers including oral, vaginal, or anal intercourse. Usage of protective measures such as condoms may not be sufficient in preventing the disease as there are still risks involved especially with close skin or mucosal contact that are contaminated with genital fluids or blood.

If left untreated, STD can lead to complications such as pelvic inflammatory disease, subfertility, chronic prostate irritation and inflammation (prostatitis), spinal cord, blindness, brain damage, and even death. However, with proper control and treatment, STD can be treated if discovered early.

Our clinic is a fully accredited medical HIV/STD clinic with a specialized focus in the treatment and screening of STD. Rest assured that your particulars are kept confidential as we pride ourselves in ensuring our patients receive treatment in a comfortable and private environment.

Wellness Screening

“Knowing your numbers” can help you address health issues that may potentially hit you when you least expect it. Silent killers such as heart attacks or stroke are often the result of neglecting one’s health. Would it have been better if you can find out early and possibly make lifestyle changes to prevent such concerns? Doctors recommend regular wellness screening to help keep track of your health and understand health conditions and diseases at an early stage.

Male Health Assessment Test serves as an excellent entry level test for you as it helps to establish a foundation for many vital health markers. The test will help to detect illnesses early, allowing our doctors to recommend healthy lifestyle changes in particular to smoking, alcohol, and weight. Additionally, it considers the early detection of heart, kidney, liver, and other infectious diseases. The tests are customized according to the different health needs that arise in different age groups, and men are generally recommended to take the tests annually to detect any health issues that might occur and treat them early to maintain good health.

Female Health Assessment Test seeks to review the reproductive health system of a woman where it includes an ultrasound breast imaging test, pelvic exam, urine and stool analysis etc. It is recommended to take the comprehensive tests at least once annually as this helps to screen for early health problems including cancer markers and other infectious diseases.

Elderly Health Assessment Test

As we age, health screenings become more essential as it can help identify any risk factors exhibited that may require further health management. In addition to assessing a person’s health status, a health assessment can be used to identify a broad range of factors that can influence a person’s physical, psychological, and social functioning.

You are provided with a structured way of identifying health issues or conditions that are potentially preventable or amenable to interventions in order to improve health and/or quality of life by going for regular health assessment.
